The Challenge
Jamie initially started his business as a side line, running it from his house while maintaining a full-time job, selling a range of soft bedroom furnishings through multiple channels including Amazon, eBay and Shopify.
With continued growth and success ‘The Cosy Bedding Co.’ were looking to expand their operation and make efficiencies to their internal processes. Freeing up valuable time fulfilling orders and supporting customers was a priority so more resource could be spent on increasing their product range and sales. It was felt that time savings could be made in several areas:
Listing products across multiple channels
General administration and customer support queries
Repurchasing stock from suppliers
The Cosy Bedding Company were very keen to reduce their dependence on Amazon FBA and grow sales through eBay and Shopify, creating a need for a stock management and warehousing solution to fulfill orders. The Cosy Bedding Company also trades through an offline retailer, and were looking for a solution to manage and keep track of stock levels, which were being recorded using weekly spreadsheets.
Our Solution
Within 8 weeks, our project team had successfully integrated their Shopify website and 6 marketplaces with our fully configured ERP system, including:
Creation of ‘Product Profiles’ to easily enable 1000’s of listings across multi marketplace channels.
Set-up of the auto re-purchasing of products from three suppliers when stock levels reached a target threshold.
Set-up of weight based shipping automation with Parcel Force and Netdespatch
Migration from Zoho to Office365 so all incoming emails are managed by our ‘Message Centre’, to identify and react quickly to support requests from Amazon, eBay & Shopify.
Customised dispatch process using barcoded picking lists and a scanner based packing station.
Established a ‘Trade Channel’ to manage the stock from their offline retailer.
