For more than 800 customers, Cloud Commerce Pro sits at the centre of this eCommerce ecosystem, facilitating the management of orders by providing the critical connection between sales channels and couriers. Maintaining a platform that connects to so many 3rd parties, from Amazon to Yodel, creates a target that’s always moving.
Since the start of 2020, the world of internet retail has seen unprecedented growth. Indeed, the value of UK eCommerce retail sales rising from £75.48 Billion in 2019, to £119 Billion in 2021. With the acceleration in internet retailing, it has never been more important for us as a vendor of business critical technology, to keep pace with the ever changing landscape. As a company, we must make sure that we’re looking forward and focusing on future-proofing our technology. This is so we can continue to support the success of our customers, by helping to automate the many complex processes that exist within an eCommerce business.
Last year, it became apparent that we needed to reinvent ourselves to ensure we stayed relevant for our customers, and offer parity plus capabilities compared to our competitors; the starting point for this reinvention was that we were acquired by WPP PLC, the world’s largest media and brand communications business. WPP are responsible for building commerce platforms that process more than £30 billion in annual revenue. The expertise and investment that come from being part of the commerce engine behind some of the world’s biggest brands, provides the Cloud Commerce Group with the resources needed to take what is already one of the UK’s leading channel and order management systems, and develop it into the premier platform in its category.
Ultimately, our mission remains the same. That is, to provide our customers with a best in class order management platform that enables them to sell successfully on the world’s biggest digital channels. However, over the past 12 months we’ve been actively listening to our customers, gathering user feedback and building a picture of where we need to improve and the areas that we can add the most value. The result of this is an open and transparent programme of investment that provides a clear commitment to our customers and their future success.
Our £multi-million programme of investment over the coming 24 months will include, but is not limited to:
- Increasing our development teams fourfold. Therefore, to deliver improvements across our core platform, speed up the release of new features and expedite the process of resolving technical issues.
- The expansion of our Product Team, to focus on the direction, development and performance of our platform and its core capabilities.
Upgrading our cloud infrastructure to increase capacity and ensure we can offer the fastest and most stable experience for our customers and their staff.
- Increasing the headcount in our Customer Services Team. So helping us to respond to queries more quickly and efficiently, and reducing the timeframe to resolve tickets.
- More training resources including staff and materials, to make it easier for customers to access knowledge and expertise.
Redesign and relaunch of our API, future proofing the primary integrations we have with our channel and courier partners.
