Feature Upgrades: Improvements To Warehousing & Address Management

At Cloud Commerce Pro we strive to improve and evolve the system by taking on board your feedback and implementing changes that we know will make your lives easier. Today we would like to announce changes to the way you organise your warehouse bays, as well as a subtle change to how you store and use customer addresses. 

Reorganising Warehouse Bays

Our powerful warehousing features are designed to meet the needs of larger scale businesses with single or multiple warehouse operations. A common requirement of our customers is the need to reorganise their warehouse bays in the system so they can change the picking routes for their warehouse staff. This is very useful as it allows you to ensure your staff are working as efficiently as possible.

Previously, the only way to move a bay was to drag and drop it, which works great if you only have a handful of bays. But what if you have a few hundred bays or more? Our new feature allows you to select either a single or multiple bays by checking the box beside them, and then simply navigating to where in the queue you would prefer them to be. There are also helpful shortcut buttons which allow you to send your selected bay directly to either the top or bottom of the queue.

Customer Address Management

The Customer Screen in Cloud Commerce Pro is very expansive. There are currently seven user guides for this one area of the system alone. We understand that organising customer information is a key component to great customer service. If you cannot effectively communicate with your customers and trading partners, it doesn’t take long for all hell to break loose.

With that in mind, we are always looking at ways we can improve the way you store and use customer information.

As dropshipping becomes ever more prevalent in the e-commerce world, we wanted to make it easier for our customers with dropship partners to manage the many addresses required for that way of working. Previously, any address added against a customer would become a long list this down the page, which makes the page messy and isn’t exactly practical.

Our development team have now made changes to the address section to allow for the pagination of addresses once you have more than five. Additionally, once you go over the normal amount of addresses, a search bar will display allowing you a super convenient way to find the correct address without having to endlessly scroll the page.

Part of this new feature has also been extended to our popular Order From Stock function on the Customer Screen. If you have over five addresses for the customer, a search box will now show on the when placing an order, so you can easily find the one you need.

Looking Forward

Work continues moving into 2021 as we strive to keep rolling out meaningful changes whilst working to ensure the most robust system stability possible for multi-channel e-commerce software. While we couldn’t possibly implement every change asked of us, we will listen and consider every single one of them. Some changes will help many customers and serve the greater good of the Cloud Commerce Pro community, and that is something we welcome with open arms.
